2026 Trans Pride March of Sao Paulo: parade route & more
june (Dates TBC)
São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, Sao Paulo, Brazil

In the midst of São Paulo’s massive Pride Month, one event stands out for its powerful focus on the transgender community: the Trans Pride March of São Paulo (Marcha do Orgulho Trans). The 2026 edition will be the 9th annual Trans Pride March. What began as a brave assembly of a few hundred trans people and allies has blossomed into the largest trans-focused march in Latin America.
This march is both a celebration of trans visibility and a protest demanding respect and rights. It weaves through the streets of Brazil’s biggest city with an atmosphere that’s equal parts militant and joyful. Expect to see heartfelt signs and chants alongside music, dance, and an explosion of trans pride flags held high.
March Route and Schedule
While event details are yet to be confirmed, the Trans Pride March 2026 is expected to follow a daytime itinerary through central São Paulo. Gathering begins at 11:00 AM in Parque Augusta, a green park in the Consolação district that serves as the staging area. Around 2:00 PM, participants will set off behind a sound truck (trio elétrico)–a staple of Brazilian parades–pumping out empowering anthems.
The march will proceed through major downtown avenues (organizers will announce the exact route, but in 2024 the march went down Rua da Consolação and other central streets) and is scheduled to arrive by 7:00 PM at Largo do Arouche. Largo do Arouche, a historic square known as an LGBTQ gathering spot, is both the terminus and symbolic heart of the march. There, the crowd converges for a closing act: speeches by community leaders, performances by trans artists, and a unifying shout for equality echoing into the evening.
The total route is a few kilometers, so be ready for about 5 hours of walking and intermittent stops. Police escorts and volunteer marshals help manage the flow, as thousands of people are expected to join. Wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
